Since 1982 we have been offering first class repairs and servicing to local bands, schools, musicians etc.

The workshop is under the personal supervision of Philip Neville MIMIT.

 

  BRASS INSTRUMENT SERVICING PRICE GUIDE  

Servicing includes new springs, corks, felts and clean where required. Prices are for guidance only, some older instruments may require more work and cost extra likewise newer instruments may cost less.

 EMERGENCY REPAIRS AND ADJUSTMENTS 

Any ‘get you home’ repairs and emergency adjustments carried out on the spot, during normal workshop hours, will be charged at £40.00 per hour. MINIMUM CHARGE £20.00

APPOINTMENT SYSTEM   

NB. we now require instruments for 7 days to allow for a short Covid19 quarantine period before we undertake any repairs etc.

We operate a strict appointment system – most instruments will need to be booked in for repairs and servicing.

The prices shown here are a selection for guidance only and are based on basic work performed without any problems occuring. Some older or damaged instruments will require more work and so will incur additional costs.

REPAIR GUIDE

GENERAL PLAYING ORDER  For instruments up to *3 years old or those having had a service within 1 year. Where possible WITHOUT dismantling; check instrument for leaks, reseat all pads, adjust keywork and regulate where required to good playing order.Lubricate and test. (*depending on amount of use)

FULL SERVICE Complete dismantle, clean body and keywork, check corks and springs (replace up to 1 spring and 2 pads), reassemble, re seat all pads, regulate keys, oil, adjust and test.

REPAD As above but with replacement of all corks and pads and fitting of new springs where required ~ Phone for advice on full repads.
